rocking chair

Hug Chair, the last post from the old blog.

About

Several years ago I set up rockstream on tumblr as a way of expressing my love and appreciation for rocking chairs (and occasionally other things that rock). Unfortunately 2FA was activated on that account by someone other than me, and now that I don’t have the 2FA credentials tumblr has said I can’t have my blog back. I missed being able to post the rocking chairs I encountered, so I've set up again here.

The old posts have been updated and broken links replaced, links have been added to the chair designers where possible too. I plan on making some more improvements in due course, like pin buttons, and the ability to link to individual posts. I also look forward to creating many new posts in the future. Thanks for reading my incredibly boring story.

Logo

I made the logo at the top of this page and it's available here on the noun project website. This is a site where designers can submit icons or images for licensed use by others.

Do you have a favourite rocking chair?

I have been asked if I have a favourite chair on the site and... I don't. All rocking chairs are beautiful for different reasons. Comparing a David Trubridge to a Vermer Panton, a Sam Maloof to a Constance Guisset, or a Ralph Rapson to a Wendell Castle, just doesn't make sense to me.

Copyright

I do not claim copyright on the images or chairs on this blog, unless its stated on the post or I use my own image or design. All images are used under fair use and attributed by the associated source link. If, however, you do own the photo or rights to the chair and would like it removed, or if it's attributed incorrectly, please let me know. You can email me at rockstream@toyouimweather.com

Privacy Policy

I do not use cookies, analytics, or any form of tracking on this website. Feel free to peruse all the rocking chair goodness as frequently, and for as long, as you like. I don't have ads or anything else embedded in the site either. Isn't it weird that your family dentist, that nearby hat shop, or a cheese company does, and that they freely give this info to google (or other data miners) every time you visit?

You're weird!

You may be on to something!
